One World Fellowship Scheme / 2007

One World Fellowships 2007 - Read about the Fellows' two-week stay in the UK

2007 fellows with Jon Snow at Channel 4 NewsIn 2007, six Media Fellows took part in the fellowship scheme in late October and early November. The Fellows came from Zambia, Vietnam, South Africa, Chile, Cameroon, and for the first time, Palestine. Three were from the television sector, while the other three were from radio. You can read their personal biographies here.

The two-week scheme was as busy as ever - it featured meetings with the major TV and radio broadcasters in the UK, plus independent production companies, the media regulator, Ofcom, and representatives from the department for culture, media and sport. During the programme, the fellows posted regular diary entries about their experiences - and you can read their diaries on this website.

You can also find out exactly what they did during the scheme by looking at the full fellowship programme, or see a full list of the different hosts who met with the fellows during their stay.

2007 was also the first year in which all of the media fellows brought cameras of their own to the UK. You can see some of the pictures they took during the scheme here.
